Intro to Kathak

Service Description

In Adult Beginner 1 classes, you’ll get a thorough introduction to all elements of the kathak form. This course will cover various aspects, such as understanding the north Indian rhythmic systems (taal & laya), body vocabulary (ang), spoken language (bols), and recitation techniques (padhant), facial expressions (Abhinaya). Primary focus will be on mastering footwork (tatkaar) and technical compositions (tode & tukde).
